We Personalize College Counseling
Senior Career and College Counselor, Neyveth Duarte, works directly with scholars beginning junior year to deliver on the school’s commitment that every student has an acceptance letter to a university, scholarships to help pay for college, and a plan for how to positively impact the world. The work Ms. Duarte completes begins much earlier in elementary school. We show our ECP students how they can aspire to enroll in a 4-year university with
- College pennants displayed throughout the buildings.
- Classrooms named after colleges and universities.
- Teachers wearing spirit attire from their alma maters.
- Field trips to local colleges and universities beginning in 3rd grade.
- Middle schoolers visiting out-of-state college campuses.
In 9th grade, scholars meet with their academic counselor to build a graduation plan that includes career goals. They’ll work on a certification while enrolled here that helps them land a job with a competitive salary immediately after high school that helps pay for college.
And because ECP covers the cost, it’s all free to the family!
In 10th grade, scholars apply to the ACE Program with Maricopa Community College to begin dual enrollment and earn up to 21 college credits tuition-free before graduating from ECP.

During their junior and senior years, scholars review their graduation plan with Ms. Duarte to make sure they have enough credits to graduate. They attend application workshops, FAFSA workshops, and more college tours.
Congratulations Class of 2025!
There are 75 seniors in the Class of 2025. Just about every member will attend college in the fall. Some of their destinations include
98% of this year’s class are first generation college students including Valedictorian Eliseo Gomez. Even as a 6th grader when he designed a solar-powered car, Eliseo was interested in pursuing a career in STEM. With the high cost of college tuition, it seemed out of reach for him, but as ECP’s first Dorrance Scholar, Eliseo has been awarded a full scholarship to Northern Arizona University along with the opportunity to study abroad in France and Italy. That’s worth more than $100,000!
ECP graduating classes earn more than $2 million in
scholarships and aid every year.
“Since 2020 when we celebrated our first high school graduation, we have seen at least 90% of our graduates enroll in college year after year, far exceeding state and national norms. As they complete their college educations, ECP alumni are entering fields like medicine, education, engineering, chemistry, and law enforcement.
