Meet Alexis
Alexis attended ECP for all four years of high school and graduated in 2023. His goal today is to earn a master’s in nursing after completing his undergraduate degree.
“The sky’s the limit! Who knows . . . I might just go on to be a PA [Physician’s Assistant]”
90% of Empower’s graduates enroll in college. Many are 1st generation college students. Our graduates’ persistence rate in earning their degrees far surpasses the state average. As ECP alumni are completing their college degrees and preparing for careers in several different fields including medicine, education, engineering, chemistry, and law enforcement.
How Did ECP Prepare You for College?
“The AP classes were very useful in pushing me beyond my limits.”
Academics are rigorous at ECP. High school students can choose from 15 Advanced Placement courses and Honors Level classes in science, math, English and social studies. Internship opportunities are available beginning in 11th grade. ECP also offers career certifications and dual enrollment with Maricopa Community Colleges and Grand Canyon University. ECP provides a well-rounded school experience with sports, clubs, and social activites.
Alexis competed on the varsity cross-country team and participated in the cooking club. He was recognized as a member of the National Honor Society.
As a K-12 public school with a preschool on site, ECP is here for the entire family: one drop-off, one pick-up. Alexis’s siblings are now attending. His advice to them and all the scholars at Empower College Prep is:
