ECP is the tuition-free, values-based K-12 school committed to empowering Arizona students to succeed in college, solve real-world problems, and maximize their impact in the world.
An Early Start to a Successful Future
Research shows that the earlier and more often you talk with young children about college and career, the more they will envision their future selves attending an institution of higher education.
At ECP
- We begin the conversation in Kindergarten.
- We start visits to college campuses in 3rd grade.

- We sponsor college-themed events throughout the school year every year at all grade levels.
90% of ECP’s graduates enroll in college the fall after graduation. This far exceeds state and national norms. Many are first-generation college students who may never have imagined attending a college or university.
Annually each graduating class receives more than $1 million in scholarships and aid for college tuition. Empower College Prep awards a $1,000 scholarship to each graduating senior who maintains a 3.0 GPA and completes an internship and we pay the cost of sending our seniors to visit the out-of-state schools where they’ve been accepted so they can make informed decisions about where to attend!
Internships, Dual Enrollment, Certifications – Oh my!
Empower College Prep provides internship opportunities beginning in middle school. Through our career certification program scholars can attain certification in programs like nursing assistant, AutoCAD, and semiconductor manufacturing.
Our BLIS Program (Business, Leadership, International Studies), enables entrepreneurial high schoolers to start their own businesses.
Because of our commitment to providing a rigorously academic program, ECP offers 15 Advanced Placement courses and many more Honors Level classes in science, math, English and social studies. Plus, scholars can participate in dual enrollment at Maricopa Community Colleges and Grand Canyon University and begin earning college credit while still attending here.

College-educated workers earn substantially more than those with only a high school diploma. ECP alumni are graduating from college with majors like international studies, biology,engineering, and early childhood education and establishing careers in such fields as medicine, teaching, and marketing.
