Business + Leadership + International Studies
Learn how to plan, launch, market and start your own business all while learning about sound practices to grow a business and personal finances over time.
Through Empower College Prep’s BLIS Program (Business, Leadership, International Studies), entrepreneurial students start their own businesses. They design logos, complete market research, create advertisements, sell their products and keep the profits at the Market Day each semester.
Through the process, they learn and apply business ethics and sound practices to grow their business and personal finances over time. During their junior and senior year, they secure internships at local businesses to prepare them for such careers as Marketing, Finance, Accounting, and Business Management.
Many of these students serve in the school’s Student Council and can take leadership roles in the Arizona Association of Student Councils, which includes seminars for personal/professional development, community service, and networking. These entrepreneurial leaders celebrate their learning and achievement with Senior Trips to Washington, D.C. or Europe.
